When you install the TubeSpanner browser extension and connect your YouTube channel, you'll see a pop-up that will ask you to provide permission for TubeSpanner to access your channel—your personal data and even the right and ability for TubeSpanner to delete your videos.

TubeSpanner has never and will never go and delete a video from your channel. The extension acts as an overlay in the YouTube website and provides you with the ability to make adjustments to videos directly. However, in order to do this, we have to ask for permission to provide this in advance.

When you need to send an image in an app, you have to give that app permissions to access your phone's gallery. Or if you're using a map app and it requests permissions to track your position. Or maybe you've downloaded other browser extensions relating to YouTube before, and it asks for similar permissions as TubeSpanner. This is the same thing.

The personal data we access is the information about your videos and channels in your YouTube Studio Dashboard.

While personal information like your address, phone numbers and credit cards can be stored in your Google profile, none of that is present in the YouTube Studio Dashboard. It's not the data we access with this request. All we want is your YouTube analytics, traffic data, and video/channel performance so that we can provide you with the best user experience and most accurate information possible.

At any time, you can remove permission from TubeSpanner through your Google account. Or click here: https://myaccount.google.com/u/3/connections
